Personal essays are a great way for writers to get their stories, ideas, and words out into the world. In this one-hour class, participants will learn the structures behind successful personal essays, as well as the different types, such as memoir, OpEd, and reported service pieces. You'll leave understanding which personal essay format best suits your idea and how to craft it. Attending the workshop with an essay idea is recommended but not required.
